We have a fantastic new opportunity for a Pig Management Trainee in Dumfriesshire (DG8).

Our client will consider individuals with, ideally, previous livestock experience or those finishing College or University having studied Agriculture. Previous experience with pigs is preferred but not essential.

The role:

• Assisting on a 200-sow indoor breed to finish system
• Involvement and assistance in all breeding and feeding herd duties
• Operation and management of the on-farm feed mill

This unit boasts some of the best production figures in the UK and is specifically looking for an individual who wants a career in the Pig Industry.

This isn't 'just a job'. You will have the chance to learn from skilled pig industry people who are willing to pass on their knowledge and skills. All aspects of pig husbandry and farm management will be covered.

Salary guide: £20,000 - £25,000
