Multiplication Senior Stockperson - Ref 1904 Berwickshire
General Information
We're looking for an experienced and committed Multiplication Senior Stockperson to support the day-to-day management of either the Farrowing or Dry Sow department on a modern 1,200-sow indoor multiplication unit in Berwickshire, Scottish Borders.
Working for one of the UK's leading pig producers, you'll play a key role in producing high-quality replacement gilts for a supply chain that supports more than 350 partner farms. The unit is currently being refurbished and will benefit from the latest automated feeding systems, handheld data recording, and modern livestock technology.
The Role
This is a hands-on position where you'll help deliver excellent animal welfare, productivity, and genetic performance while working alongside a small, dedicated team.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily care and welfare of pigs, ensuring feed and water requirements are met.
- Support and manage either the farrowing or dry sow department to achieve production targets.
- Monitor animal health and report concerns promptly.
- Carry out breeding, tagging, fostering, and other routine husbandry tasks.
- Maintain accurate production records and ensure compliance with company and legal standards.
- Assist with general farm duties, including cleaning, maintenance, and livestock handling.
About You
We're looking for someone who has:
- Previous experience working with pigs (preferred) or within agriculture.
- A genuine commitment to high standards of animal welfare.
- Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Good communication and IT skills, including accurate data recording.
- A proactive, reliable, and hardworking attitude.
- Willingness to undertake physical farm work.
- A full UK driving licence (preferred).

Working Hours:
07:00 – 16:00, Monday to Friday, plus every other weekend. Flexibility will be required during busier periods
