General Information
We’re recruiting for a General Manager role for an agricultural business based in Essex, CB11.
The business has been trading for 25 years and has equipment working in numerous countries. Their primary products are used in the poultry and pig sectors, and are increasingly used in the horticultural industry.
General Manager job description:
- Identify new business opportunities
- Develop sales strategies and targets
- Build and maintain relationships with customers and distributors
- Attending trade shows and exhibitions worldwide, promoting the products
- Support with on-site fitting of equipment
- Assisting in the development of new products and producing publications and instructions
- Supporting customers with problems/repairs, on-site if necessary, throughout the UK and overseas
- Budget and financial responsibility
- The role will involve UK and overseas travel as necessary
Person specifications:
The job will suit someone with a mature view of the world, experience in relevant sectors (including sales), and who will be comfortable working with a small group of dedicated people—a good communicator who is self-motivated and willing to travel to existing and potential new sales territories.
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 DOE
